PART 2
Oliver kept staring at me.
“Belinda, baby… why are your eyes red?”
For a second, I almost broke down. My heart was pounding so hard I thought he could hear it.
I forced a smile.
“Oh… I was just emotional. I still can’t believe I’m finally married to the man I love.”
He smiled and kissed my forehead.
“Aww, my sweet wife.”
Wife.
__That word nearly made (s) scream inside.
The man sitting beside me was taking me to be slaughtered.
I slowly held his hand while acting normal.
“Baby, can we stop somewhere? I suddenly need to use the bathroom.”
He looked uncomfortable.
“Now? We’re almost there.”
Almost there?
My blood turned cold.
I quickly acted like I was in pain.
“Please… I can’t hold it.”
After a few seconds he sighed.
“Fine.”
Suddenly I saw a small fuel station ahead.
The moment he parked, I walked out slowly.
Then…
I RAN.
I screamed at the top of my lungs.
“HELP! SOMEBODY HELP ME!”
Oliver instantly jumped from the car.
“BELINDA!!”
But before he reached me, several people turned around.
Then I shouted something that shocked everyone:
“HE WANTS TO KILL ME!”
To be continued…
PART 3
The fuel station became silent.
Everyone froze.
Oliver stood there shocked.
Then he forced a nervous laugh.
“My wife is joking.”
I immediately shook my head.
“No! He’s taking me somewhere to sacrifice me!”
People started gathering.
Oliver’s face changed instantly.
“Belinda, stop this nonsense!”
I brought out his phone.
The same phone.
The same message.
“I saw everything!”
I opened the message and showed one of the men nearby.
His eyes widened.
“What is this?!”
Suddenly Oliver panicked.
“Give me my phone!”
Then…
HE RAN.
Yes.
My husband turned around and ran toward the car.
People immediately started chasing him.
But before he entered the vehicle—
BAM!
He slipped and crashed onto the road.
The crowd surrounded him.
And then his phone rang.
The caller ID showed:
Boss Benson
The same Benson.
My friend.
To be continued…
My entire body became weak.
Benson?
My own friend?
The man who attended our wedding…
The man who smiled and danced with us…
Was part of this?
One of the men answered the call and placed it on speaker.
Then a voice shouted:
“Oliver! Why are you wasting time? The chief priest is angry! Bring her now!”
Silence.
Complete silence.
Everybody looked at Oliver.
His face lost color.
He knew…
It was over.
Minutes later police officers arrived.
Oliver started crying.
“Belinda please forgive me! I needed money! I was desperate!”
Money?
Money?!
He wanted my head for money?
Tears rolled down my face.
I looked at him and said:
“The greatest mistake you made… was thinking I would die quietly.”
That night…
Instead of becoming a sacrifice—
I escaped death.
And my husband entered a prison cell.
